Lockwoods in Sport

1.   William Henry Lockwood (1868 - 1932)

A professional cricket player who played in 12 tests for England between 1893 and 1902. Also played in 5 matches for Nottinghamshire between 1886 and 1887 in 305 matches for Surrey between 1888 and 1904.

2.   Ephraim Lockwood (1845 - 1921)

A professional cricket player who played and captained Yorkshire in the 1870s. He played in 213 matches for Yorkshire between 1866 and 1884.

3.    Matt Lockwood (1976 - present)

A professional soccer player. A defender, he joined Queens Park Rangers but did not play a senior game for them. He moved to Bristol Rovers where he played 63 games scoring once and then he moved to Leyton Orient of Division Three for the start of the 1999 - 2000 season where he played 37 games,  scoring three times.
